Rey Mysterio recently made an appearance when he was in Los Angeles for Summer Slam. Rey co-hosted a Fatherhood and Mentoring Rally, promoting important faterhood qualities. Rey, having two children was perfect for the job, seeing how is family is one important aspect in his life. WWE.com posted an exclusive story entitled: “For Rey Mysterio, it’s all about family.” They also released over 20 gorgeous shots of Rey.

LOS ANGELES – More than 150 fathers and families from the WWE Universe attended a SummerSlam Fatherhood and Mentoring Rally hosted by Rey Mysterio, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles and the Inland Empire, and Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters. The special rally was held at Bishop Mora Salesian High School in Los Angeles on Aug. 13 during SummerSlam weekend. (PHOTOS)

The event was inspired by President Obama’s Fatherhood and Mentoring initiative, which focuses on the importance of responsible fatherhood and mentoring to build healthy families and communities. Mysterio was joined at the event by officials from Big Brothers Big Sisters, the L.A. Mayor’s Office and the district office of the Speaker of the California General Assembly. The WWE Superstar spoke to the audience about the challenges of being a good father and mentor, and the importance of helping forge the values of younger generations of Americans.

Enrique Gasca, an official from the Los Angeles District Office of the Speaker of the California General Assembly, presented Mysterio, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Bishop Mora Salesian High School with state proclamations thanking them for organizing the event. During the meet-and-greet following the presentations, local residents had the opportunity to speak with Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteers about services provided by the non-profit organization, and were provided pledge cards to complete that would allow them to receive weekly e-mail updates from leaders in the fatherhood and family fields, connect to local programs and services and receive tips on community service.

Yesterday, January 24, Rey Mysterio had a signing at K-Mart. If you purchased $35+ worth of merchandise, you were able to meet the High flying Superstar. However, Rey arrived late and had to sadly leave early because he had to leave for the WWE Live Event. It is said that when Mysterio was leaving, a lot of fans were rushing up to him, and when people did not meet him, they were asking for refunds. The event seemed to lack order.
