WWE is releasing a brand new series of 1-Disc Superstar DVDs entitled “WWE Superstar Collections.” The DVDs are a low price of $10 and include 5 matches of the featured superstar. In the DVD sets that will be released, WWE will be releasing a Rey Mysterio DVD which is set to release October 16, 2012! The DVD includes 5 matches and this marks Rey’s FOURTH WWE DVD. THQ has recently announced the roster for WWE 13′, their latest video game hitting shelves in October 2012. Of course, Rey Mysterio is featured in the game. I’m sure his costume/outfit is going to be awesome, as it gets better year after year.

WWE has planned to release a brand new Rey Mysterio DVD later this year. This will mark Rey’s fourth solo DVD with the company, with the others being Rey Mysterio: 619!, The Biggest Little Man and The Man Behind the Mask. However, this DVD will be planned differently than the others and cheaper as well. The latest DVD will only be one disk and like stated, will be cheaper than normal WWE DVDs. The DVD will be apart of a brand new DVD Collection WWE is starting where they release 1-Disk DVDs on Superstars. The first DVD will be released in July, with others in September and October. No word yet on when Rey’s DVD will be released, but you can read the synopsis which has been made available:

All in all, it seems like a great line-up, even though the end seems like WWE attempted to squish in a boatload of 2010/2011 matches. Honestly, I would have LOVED to see way more of his WCW/ECW days, maybe even an AAA match would of been nice! But, I’m still going to buy it, and hopefully, you will too! The DVD is available July 12, 2011, so you better pick up a copy for yourself!
