Rey Mysterio did not have a match on this weeks SmackDown, however, that doesn’t stop our favorite masked wrestler from making an appearance ! During the CM Punk VS. Shelton Benjamin Money in the Bank qualifying match, Rey made a great cameo appearance. Once Luke Gallows hopped on the the apron, Rey Mysterio came running towards the ring, and pulled him down ! Benjamin was in Punks arms, seconds away from being put in the GTS. With Rey took the distraction away, Benjamin was able to reverse, and get the three count. Thanks to Rey, it looks as if Punk won’t be going to WrestleMania 26 to compete in the Money in the Bank ladder munch. By the looks of it, WWE is enforcing the feud between Punk and Mysterio. Perhaps the rumors of them contesting at WM 26 are true !

Chris Jericho defeated The Undertaker, John Morrison, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, and R-Truth to become the NEW World Heavyweight Champion.
Rey Mysterio comes out first, which means he will not be entered first. He is then followed by John Morrison, Chris Jericho, Undertaker, CM Punk, along with the Straight Edge Society, who then begins a speech. Calling all four superstars locked extremely weak. In mid speech, R-Truth them comes out, and the match begins !
R-Truth and CM Punk start it out. Both men risk their body, and do some mean moves on one another. Rey just looks on, urging to get in the ring, and win his title. After, R-Truth receives a GTS, and is the first eliminated. Lucky for Punk, he gets to gather his breath, as the pods don’t open until every five minutes. He then receives the Mic from Serena, and tells Undertaker he is going to make him tap out. Taker is obviously ready. Punk then tells Morrison that his rock life will get him no where. That Straight Edge IS better. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! A pod opens up, and REY COMES IN !
Rey starts flying around, doing what he does best ! He gets a beautiful cross body, and goes for a two count. He then gets a roll up, gets another two count. He bounces off the rope, and sets Punk for the 619 ! But Punks comes out, and lands a body slam, and gets a two count. Punk then goes for a GTS, but Rey is a fighter ! And reverses by getting a roll up ! He only gets a two count, but quickly makes it to his feet, and starts beating the living daylight out of Punk. He starts flying, and is picked up by Punk, and begins slamming Rey into the chamber. Morrison looks on, Rey is in pain, Taker is ready, Punk is tired, Jericho looks on.
Back in the middle, Punk gets a two count, when Rey is in the corner, Punk gets a knee, and then slams Rey into the ring post, with a GIANT Ka-Ching sound coming out. Rey went head first into the glass. Punk gets a two count on Rey, then he begins to fight back ! Rey is the Underdog of the match, and when he’s on the top, he climbs onto the chamber, for Punk to follow ! Rey is then in a GTS, on the top rope ! Both men are battling it out. ON THE TOP ROPE ! Rey jumps down, and Punk falls on the rope. Rey then does a hurricarana onto the cage ! REY GETS A SPLASH ! 1 – 2 – 3 ! PUNK IS OUT !
The ten seconds mark comes, and Chris Jericho enters ! Rey starts flying already. Man, do these two know how to put a match on ! Rey springs off the second rope, only to get a clothesline. Jericho then gains control, and starts manhandling Rey. Jericho goes for the lionsault, misses, and is set up in the 619 position ! Rey then lands it, and Jericho goes out of the ring. Rey goes for the WCP, hops on the chamber, and gets brought down, front down, gets slammed into the outside steel. Jericho then goes over the top rope, goes for a nearfall, but only gets a two ! Rey, obviously tired and in pain, does NOT give up. Jericho stars using the rope to his advantage, and taunts the Undertaker afterward. Rey makes it to his feet, only for Jericho to bring him back down, and do a submission hold onto Rey’s head + neck. Rey begins to fight, gets loose, and starts picking up the pace ! Rey lands a sweet moonsault, and gets a two count. Rey then pulls a dragon sleeper, out of nowhere ! Jericho begins to fade, but Jericho slams Rey into the ringpost, sets Rey down, and lands the walls of jericho ! Rey doesn’t tap ! He’s too strong. Five seconds left, Morrison enters !
JoMo comes out, and starts beating Jericho up. He then lands a kick on Rey, and sends Jericho out of the ring. He then begins to work on Rey, but Rey starts flying, until he gets Morrison’s foot in his face. Jericho then gets inside the ring, and starts battling it out with Morrison. Morrison hops on the rope, and Jericho pushes him off, and he goes head first into the chamber. Rey then starts using his agility, but once again, lands body first onto the steel. Jericho picks Rey up, slams him into the chamber, and Morrison comes flying out of nowhere, and takes both men out. Rey is in the middle of the ring, and Morrison gets a two count on him. Rey starts flying,and sets Morrison for the 619 ! But, Jericho comes out, and gets a backbreaker. 1 – 2, Rey kicks out from a nearfall ! Rey is in the corner, and Jericho continues to go after Rey. Morrison then connects a kick on Jericho, and Rey whips Morrison into the corner. Both men are on the top rope, Rey lands down, and Morrison gets the Starship Pained. Rey gets eliminated by Morrison :/
Later on, Undertaker eliminated Morrison. Jericho eliminated Undertaker with the help of Shawn Michaels.

“With a big win on “WWE Superstars,” The Master of the 619 was looking to have a great week, but he suffered a beating at the hands of CM Punk and his Straight Edge Society on SmackDown.”
I found this old video of Rey back in 2007. He was on DIY, along with Lillian Garcia, on a hellomun2.com special. I don’t really know much about it, but it really is worth watching.
Rey Mysterio is seen backstage, and talks about the Elimination Chamber being brutal, and how the Straight Edge Society is brutal as well. He talked about how they attacked him last week, and how this week, he will become the World Heavyweight Champion at the Chamber.
Later on in the show, Rey came to the aid of John Morrison and R-Truth when they were being attacked by the Straight Edge Society. Rey began fighting Gallows and Punk, but was quickly taken down once Punk got up. With the numbers against him, Rey just took the abuse from the SES. Rey was then picked up by Gallows, and laid across his knee, for Punk to hop on the top rope. When he jumped off, he kneed Rey in the chest/throat area, and then just posed above Rey to end the segment.
