As Rey continues his giant media tour in the Philippines, he appeared on a show entitled “Umagang Kay Ganda” which is a morning talk show. The interviewer asks Rey how he got started in wrestling and Rey tells the story about his uncle training him when he was 6. Rey tells the interviewer he never engaged in martial arts, but learned amateur wrestling and then professional. The interviewers ask Rey where he got the 619 and Rey tells them that a Japanese wrestler invented it and he loved to watch Japanese wrestling. Rey also tells about Super Astro, a Mexican wrestler, who did that move, but Rey added his own mask. The interviewer then asks Rey if he’s ever been injured and Rey answers yes and that he’s on his 7th surgery on the knee. Rey then tells the story about his mask and tells them about the Mayans and Aztecs. Rey then talks about Manny Pacquiao and even says that he throws a challenge out to Manny not to compete against him, but WITH him to take on Floyd Mayweather and Alberto del Rio. MANILA, Philippines – World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Rey Mysterio on his visit to ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda on Friday invited Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao for a tag team match against Floyd Mayweather.

He said he would like to team up with Pacquiao against the pair of Mayweather and former WWE champion Alberto del Rio.

“I love Manny. In fact, Manny, if you’re watching right now, I’m inviting you to join forces with Rey Mysterio in the WWE to take on “Money” (Floyd) Mayweather. I know you don’t need me to take him on but this is just a teaser: me and you versus him and Alberto del Rio,” he said.

The Latino wrestler is currently in the Philippines to promote WWE’s anti-bullying campaign. – Umagang Kay Ganda, July 27 2012
