Intercontinental Champion The Miz defeated Cody Rhodes, Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio to retain the title.

The Miz kicks off Night of Champions coming out first to defend his Intercontinental Championship. As he cuts a promo and is about to finishes with his “I’m Awesome” line, Rey Mysterio’s music hits, cutting him off! The fans are enthusiastic to see him and show it by cheering loudly! He’s out wearing pink and red in order to support WWE’s recent partnership with Susan G. Komen to find a cure for breast cancer! Soon after, the other two opponents of the fatal four way, Cody Rhodes and Sin Cara come out. The bell rings and the Miz goes after Rey with Cody going after Cara. Cara is out of the ring so Cody and Miz double team on Rey until Cara comes back in taking the men out. Rey then lands a nice drop kick to Miz and sends Cody out of the ring. Rey and Sin Cara are alone in the ring until Miz pulls Rey out by his feet. Miz takes Rey outside of the ring and leaves him there. Cody and Miz get back in the ring and double team against Sin Cara.

Sin Cara finally picks things up and sends both men out. Rey gets into the ring but cody comes out of nowhere trying to take him out. Rey sends Cody out of the ring and watches Sin Cara come back into the ring. The men quicken up the pace and Sin Cara sends Rey around the ring with a hurricanrana. Rey is on top of Sin Cara’s shoulders but reverses into his very own hurricanrana! He goes for the pinall on Sin Cara but Miz breaks up the count. Miz goes to work on Rey as Cody goes after Sin Cara. Cara and Rey are down as Miz and Cody go to work against each other. Cody is tossed out of the ring so Rey quickly gets up and tries to grab Miz and rolls him up into a roll-up! He picks up a 2 count before Sin Cara breaks it up and goes for his own roll up on Rey. Rey kicks out, however. Rey and Cara tag up against Miz again, landing dual kicks to Miz before he’s out of the ring.

Rey then goes after Sin Cara, landing a nice kick to his knee. Sin Cara then lands his own kick though but Rey goes back at him! Rey sends Sin Cara into the second turnbuckle and then gets onto the top rope. Sin Cara kicks Rey in the head and climbs up the top rope as well. Cody comes out of nowhere and takes Cara out and goes for a pin, only getting the 2 count. He then goes to work on Rey, who is still on the top rope in the corner. Miz then comes out of nowhere taking Cody down who also had Rey, taking him down as well! Miz goes for a pin on both men, but both kick out. Miz goes to work on Rey, using the ropes to weaken Rey. Rey begins to fight back with a few kicks before Miz lands a DDT on Rey. Miz goes for a pin, but Rey kicks out once again! Rey begins to fight back until he is out of the ring. Rey sends Cody into the barricade outside of the ring before he lands a sweet seated senton! Sin Cara and Miz are in the ring but Rey comes out of nowhere and kicks Miz in the back. Rey lands a beautiful springboard moonsault onto Miz and goes for the pin until cody Rhodes breaks up the count. Rey lands a kick on cody and goes for a wheelbarrow bulldog, but Cody plants Rey into the mat and goes for a pinfall. Sin Cara, however, breaks up the count.

Sin Cara pushes Cody onto the second rope and into the 619 position! Miz then goes after Rey hoping to land the Skull Crashing Finale, but Rey instead reverses and flips him onto the second rope, next to Cody! Cody ducks out, but Rey lands a 619 on the Miz! Cody goes after Rey, but Rey sends Cody out of the ring. Rey then climbs the top rope and lands a nice dive onto Miz and goes for the pin. As the referee is about to count 3, Cody pulls Rey off of Miz and throws him out of the ring. Cody and Sin Cara go after one another and even goes for Cara’s mask. Rey comes out of nowhere and lands a seated senton onto Cody before Cody takes Rey and throws him out of the ring and onto the floor, viciously. Cara pulls out an extra mask and attempts to put it on Cody, but Miz comes out of nowhere and goes for a pinfall. Rey is still outside and Sin Cara gets a mask on Miz. Miz lands a skull crashing finale on Cody and picks up the pinfall to retain the Intercontinental Title.
